"Plant Recognition"

Started by Marcelle - 2064 Sunday, 22 March 2015

Hi, I don"t remember planting this shrub it started growing in one of my pots. It hasn"t flowered yet but looks as if it could this autumn as it"s just grown so much. Would love someone to identify it for me. Am new to this site and just learning my way around it, really enjoying it. Marcelle

Hello Marcelle. Looks like Hypoestes aristata. It took me years to find a name for this myself. It should flower in May for you.

Hi, I"m back requesting some help, salvaged this plant from a council throw out around my area. It was still in the hanging planter and it flowered in summer. Would be grateful if someone could tell me the name, it has a little orange flower.

Hello again Marcelle This looks like a goldfish plant, Nematanthus sp. I used to grow it as a hanging basket plant 30 years ago!

Hi Marilyn, Thank you again you"re a wiz, as I said it was on the side of the road in a throw out and it"s just thriving for me. Going to pot up some cuttings as I read it"s quite easily done. much appreciated.
